The Illustrator

Born in Montélimar, France, in 1968, Hervé Blondon studied fine arts at École Émile Cohl, Lyon, before emigrating to Montreal in 1995.

Working primarily in oil pastel, Hervé's illustrations have been seen around the world, striking for their unique nuances of colour, startling perspective and evocative use of shadow and light.

Hervé recently won the Gold Medal of the American Society of Illustrators, the organization's highest distinction.
